Foundation Supports Project Linus

Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization.  Their mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of NEW, HOMEMADE, WASHABLE blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers.

The Brittany Ann Kmonk Foundation has signed on as a volunteer blanketeer.  We are proud to have donated 57 blankets to children in need and look forward to continuing this relationship for years to come.

If anyone is interested in helping the Foundation make blankets or donate material, send mailto:info@brittfoundation.org

Foundation Supports the Fauquier County, VA SPCA and New Baltimore Animal Hospital

The Foundation recently donated blankets to both the Fauquier County, VA SPCA  (see photo below) and the New Baltimore Animal Hospital in Warrenton, VA.  These blankets are used to provide comfort to animals waiting to be adopted or hospitalized.

Foundation Supports the Pennsylvania State Police Historical, Educational, and Memorial Center

In 2006, the Foundation provided a monetary donation to the Pennsylvania State Police Historical, Educational, and Memorial Center.

This center will provide exhibits and displays of significant historical events.  The museum will showcase collections of artifacts and historical documents spanning 100 years of PA State Police history and service to the commonwealth of PA.

The museum display area will also have a memorial library of official records and reports, as well as other documents and extensive photographic records which will serve as an invaluable research center for anyone studying the PA State Police.

The facility will also someday aid in administering job fairs for the recruitment of qualified candidates for civilian and enlisted positions in the PA State Police.

Foundation Supports the Virginia State Police Association (VSPA)

In 2006, the Foundation continued to provide a monetary donation to the Virginia State Police Association.

The VSPA was founded in 1974 and is a non-governmental, private non-profit corporation comprised of active and retired members of the Virginia State Police.  VSPA provides services to the membership and other law enforcement officers such as:

  •  Providing Trooper Teddy Bears to our troopers so they may comfort a traumatized child.

  • Supporting drug and alcohol prevention programs in VA schools, and other child-focused charities across VA.

  • Lobby for legislative changes, which promote safety for VA children and people like you.

Foundation Supports the Fauquier, VA High School After-Prom Party

In 2006, the Foundation continued to provide a monetary donation to the Fauquier, VA High School After-Prom Party.  This event is held each year immediately following the prom and provides students with a safe and fun environment.
